Mental health support for Sakura after a difficult divorce
Sakura is working through a difficult divorce and needs help paying for 20 sessions with a licensed counselor.
🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan1,632 views
After a difficult divorce, Sakura has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred her to EMDR therapy, but the public waiting list is 9 months, and private sessions at the Shinjuku Counselling Collective cost $100 each.
Sakura has been honest with her employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Sakura could afford. The therapist recommends 20 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Sakura, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
The money will be paid directly to the counselor's practice, with a session-by-session record.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• 20 therapy sessions: $1,950
• Psychiatric assessment: $340
• Workbook and resources: $60
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
