Mental health support for Omar after military deployment

Omar is working through military deployment and needs help paying for 24 sessions with a licensed counselor.

🇸🇦 Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia177 views
After military deployment, Omar has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred him to EMDR therapy, but the public waiting list is 11 months, and private sessions at Riyadh Wellbeing Centre cost $60 each. Omar has been honest with his employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support. Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Omar could afford. The therapist recommends 24 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference. Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Omar, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment. Funds cover only therapy sessions, and I'll share progress updates (not private details) if I'm comfortable. Where the $1,655 goes: • 24 therapy sessions: $1,400 • Psychiatric assessment: $250 • Workbook and resources: $5 With deep gratitude, Maryam

  • Praying for you, Maryam. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Badagry.

    • Wishing you the best, Maryam. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Riyadh.

      • Keep going, Maryam. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
