Mental health support for Hamza after a house fire
After a house fire, Hamza has been on a waiting list for months - private therapy is the only option, and the cost is $365.
🇪🇬 Giza, Giza, Egypt1,036 views
After a house fire, Hamza has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred him to trauma-focused CBT, but the public waiting list is 6 months, and private sessions at Giza Wellbeing Centre cost $10 each.
Hamza has been honest with his employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Hamza could afford. The therapist recommends 10 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Hamza, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
Funds cover only therapy sessions, and I'll share progress updates (not private details) if I'm comfortable.
Where the $365 goes:
• 10 therapy sessions: $320
• Psychiatric assessment: $40
• Workbook and resources: $5
Thanks for being kind about this.

hope it all works out, Faisal. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't give up. Love from Narayanganj
Wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Sending strength. I hope things turn around soon. Blessings.
rooting for you, Faisal. Your post was clear and honest. All the best
Keep going, Faisal. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 23 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Giza.
