Mental health support for Derek after a violent robbery
After a violent robbery, Derek has been on a waiting list for months - private therapy is the only option, and the cost is $2,500.
🇺🇸 Pennsylvania, United States1,111 views
After a violent robbery, Derek has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred him to a structured recovery program, but the public waiting list is 8 months, and private sessions at the Erie Counselling Collective cost $125 each.
Derek has been honest with his employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Derek could afford. The therapist recommends 20 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Derek, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
The money will be paid directly to the counselor's practice, with a session-by-session record.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• 20 therapy sessions: $2,150
• Psychiatric assessment: $320
• Workbook and resources: $30
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
