When my hours were cut in half in May, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Friday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $650.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Mazen.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rent arrears (2 months) comes first ($460) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
