Maximilian is facing early-stage lung cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Maximilian was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in August. The oncology team at the Regensburg Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Maximilian is 44, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Regensburg Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $9,550 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $420
• Household costs while unable to work: $980
• Scans and lab work: $1,650
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,500
