Max's pyometra: help with the vet bill
A tabby kitten named Max needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $2,100 bill the family can't cover.

Max is my tabby kitten of six years. On 4 July we rushed to Halifax Animal Hospital with pyometra. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $2,100.
They have stabilized Max, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Max is more than a pet - Max got me through my hardest year. I have already put $200 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Halifax Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.

• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $270
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $770
• Emergency surgery: $1,060

Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork) is $270 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Fair thing to want to know.
