Mauricio needs clippers, chairs and mirrors to reopen a barbershop

Mauricio has run a barbershop for fifteen years; a long illness and repossession destroyed the equipment, and $700 will put it back on its feet.

For fifteen years I have run a barbershop in Bogotá. In August, a long illness and repossession took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $700 goes: • Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $260 • Initial stock: supplies: $180 • Shop repairs and licensing: $105 • Working capital for the first month: $155 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Mauricio

Thank you. If you're in Bogotá I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for looking so closely.

  • So sorry you're going through this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Aurangabad.
