Mateus needs a powered wheelchair - help us make it happen
A powered wheelchair would give Mateus independence - we're $250 away.

I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at the Petrópolis Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $250.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $250 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $65
• Delivery and set-up: $50
• Fitting and training sessions: $135
Thanks for reading all this.
