Mateus needs a communication tablet with eye tracking that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,650.

Mateus lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Londrina Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,650.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Mateus could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
