In August I was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal. My surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended spinal decompression surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $12,750, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $7,600 short.
Doctors at Saint Francis Hospital told me a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. I work as a care assistant, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $12,750 is far beyond what I've.
