Marta is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Marta was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in September. The oncology team at San Francisco Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Marta is 57, worked as a bus conductor until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Francisco Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Scans and lab work: $1,300
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $290
• Transport to San Francisco Cancer Centre: $510
