Marlene's a rare sarcoma treatment fund
Marlene is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Marlene was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at Berlin University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Marlene is 29, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Berlin University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,900 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,250
• Scans and lab work: $750
• Transport to Berlin University Hospital: $400
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $610
• Household costs while unable to work: $890
