Mark's knee replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a torn ligament that needs reconstruction, Mark was cleared for knee replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Mark was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in July. The surgeon at Quezon City Orthopedic Institute recommended knee replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,300, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,050 short.
my father has been in and out of Quezon City Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,300 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Mark struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Mark won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $350
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $470
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $45
• Post-operative medication: $55
• Physiotherapy sessions: $75
• Travel and lodging for the family: $55
I hope life is good to you.

hang in there, Herman. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side
Sending love, Herman. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 20 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Hope it all works out, Herman. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Porto Alegre
