Marites needs a cold-storage unit to reopen a small grocery stall
Marites lost a cold-storage unit to a fire in the building and needs $550 to reopen a small grocery stall and support the family.

For four years I have run a small grocery stall in Davao City. In November, a fire in the building took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $550 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $310
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $60
• Shop repairs and licensing: $55
• Working capital for the first month: $125
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thinking of you and your family. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Kampala so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Kadıköy.
Hope it all works out. Hope the shop reopens soon. Take care
Thinking of you and your family, Marites. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up

A colleague of mine might know someone for this in Davao del Sur. I'll ask around and let you know!
