Marisol was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Madrid Community Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,000 short. my mother has been in and out of Madrid Community Hospital since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,750 is more than we can find. While we wait, Marisol struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Marisol won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $4,000 goes: • Post-operative medication: $200 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $170 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,700 • Hospital stay (5 nights): $1,930 If you're reading this, thank you.
