Maria's colon cancer treatment fund
Maria is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Maria was diagnosed with colon cancer in March. The oncology team at Columbus Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Maria is 55, worked as a farmer until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Columbus Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $7,600 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,550
• Household costs while unable to work: $930
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $560
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,560
