Marcus's non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment fund

Marcus is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Anywhere in the world1,548 views
Marcus was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in April. The oncology team at the San Diego Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Marcus is 34, worked as a hairdresser until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the San Diego Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $7,500 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,650 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,050 • Scans and lab work: $800 Thanks for being kind about this.

    • hope it all works out, Stephanie. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 10 people at work. Blessings.

        • hope it all works out. Wishing Marcus a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I'll check back for the next update. All the best.

          • Gave what I could, wish it was more. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
