Marcia wants to stay at home - help fund six months of care
Marcia can't afford the care She needs after worsening Parkinson's disease; we're asking for $1,350.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 86. After worsening Parkinson's disease Marcia can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Marcia desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Marcia worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $95
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $65
• Part-time carer (six months): $1,190

Sending good thoughts. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Warsaw.
Hope it all works out, Donna. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I hope April is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Half-Way Tree.
Thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'll check back for the next update. Take care.
a colleague of mine might know someone for this in Saint Andrew. I'll ask around and let you know.
hang in there, Donna. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Blessings
