Márcia's non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment fund
Márcia is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
Anywhere in the world629 views
Márcia was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in December. The oncology team at São Paulo Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Márcia is 30, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to São Paulo Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,500 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,500
• Scans and lab work: $240
• Transport to São Paulo Regional Medical Center: $250
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $230
• Household costs while unable to work: $280
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
