Marcel served twelve years; now needs help to get home
After twelve years of service, Marcel is raising funds for a vocational welding course and tools.

I served twelve years in the marines and was discharged in 2024 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $1,800.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Essential household items: $520
• Transport to appointments: $240
• Training provider fees: $1,040
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Rooting for you, Marcel. Shared it with a few friends. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Duisburg.
