Maple Primary School needs a rainwater harvesting system - Savannah's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $3,300 for materials.
🇺🇸 Miami, Florida, United States2,107 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,300.
It will serve about 422 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Materials: $2,250
• Permits and inspections: $270
• Safety equipment and signage: $250
• Tools hire and delivery: $530
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
