Maple Primary School needs a playground - Simone's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,900. It will serve about 454 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $2,900 goes: • Materials: $2,350 • Permits and inspections: $105 • Safety equipment and signage: $160 • Tools hire and delivery: $285 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
