Maple Primary School needs a community fridge - Fatima's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Alexandria are raising $350 for a community fridge at Maple Primary School.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 586 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Materials: $245
Thank you so much.

Good luck. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Kinondoni.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best!
Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Alexandria.
Hope it all works out, Fatima. Hope you get there.
