Maple Park needs a playground - Theodore's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Lansing are raising $2,900 for a playground at Maple Park.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,900.
It will serve about 334 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Materials: $1,850
• Permits and inspections: $220
• Safety equipment and signage: $210
• Tools hire and delivery: $620
