Maple Park needs a community fridge - Waleed's neighborhood project

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 99 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $650 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $50 • Materials: $530 • Safety equipment and signage: $70 Thank you so much. - Waleed
