Macharia needs my school-run minibus repaired to get back to work in Fort Portal
Macharia drives for a living in Fort Portal, and a broken engine head gasket has stopped all income for 8 weeks.

I make my living with my school-run minibus. 8 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $215. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $215 goes:
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $140
• Labor charges: $50
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $20
• Towing and inspection: $5
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

how is Macharia doing now?
Wishing you peace, Macharia. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best
Thinking of you and your family, Macharia. Hope the shop reopens soon. Greetings from Kraków.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Macharia?
Thank you. If you're in Fort Portal I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
Stay strong. Gave what I could, wish it was more
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up. Take care.
Good luck. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Fort Portal.
