Lukman lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Jakarta Selatan Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850. His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Lukman could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
