Lukas's cataract surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a large ovarian cyst, Lukas was cleared for cataract surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Lukas was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in February. The surgeon at Kassel Regional Medical Center recommended cataract surgery, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $5,300 short.
my husband has been in and out of Kassel Regional Medical Center since February. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Lukas struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Lukas won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
