Rome
Lucia lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Rome Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,450. Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Lucia could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $2,450 goes: • specialist standing frame: $1,950 • Fitting and training sessions: $160 • Delivery and set-up: $95 • First-year servicing plan: $245 Thanks for being kind about this.
