Luca's thyroid cancer treatment fund
Luca is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Luca was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in October. The oncology team at Orlando Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in January. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Luca is 39, worked as a hairdresser until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Orlando Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $11,100 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,750
• Scans and lab work: $1,250
• Transport to Orlando Cancer Centre: $430
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $760
• Household costs while unable to work: $910
