I make my living with my school-run minibus. 10 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,850. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $1,400
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $260
• Labor charges: $190
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
