Lotus Primary School needs a solar-powered water pump - Brooklyn's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Aurora are raising $4,000 for a solar-powered water pump at Lotus Primary School.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $1,200, and the remaining cost is $4,000.
It will serve about 582 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $4,000 goes:
• Materials: $3,150
• Permits and inspections: $320
• Safety equipment and signage: $155
• Tools hire and delivery: $375
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Take care, Brooklyn. Your post was clear and honest
Sending love, Brooklyn. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Mysuru donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Mysuru.
Thinking of you, Brooklyn. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
