Lotus Primary School needs a rainwater harvesting system - Fitri's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Jakarta Selatan are raising $400 for a rainwater harvesting system at Lotus Primary School.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 281 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
