Lotus Primary School needs a community fridge - Bianca's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $300 for materials.
🇧🇷 Brazil1,397 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 338 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $100
• Safety equipment and signage: $105
• Tools hire and delivery: $95
Thank you for reading my story.
