Ling's palate reconstruction surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled palate reconstruction surgery in April is out of reach without help covering $5,950 of the cost.

In January I was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections. My surgeon at Sacramento University Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for April. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $8,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $5,950 short.
Doctors at Sacramento University Hospital told me gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. I work as a care assistant, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $8,500 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a care assistant have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to climb stairs during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
