Lin was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in July. The oncology team at Montréal Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Lin is 36, worked as a hairdresser until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Montréal Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $9,800 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,750 • Scans and lab work: $1,000 • Transport to Montréal Cancer Centre: $600 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $460 • Household costs while unable to work: $990 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Ying

Hope it all works out, Ying. Hope the doctors have good news. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Leipzig.

    • Hope things get better soon, Ying. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 17 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
