Lilian's path to healing - weekly cognitive behavioral therapy in Onitsha
After a house fire, Lilian has been on a waiting list for months - private therapy is the only option, and the cost is $360.
🇳🇬 Nigeria497 views
After a house fire, Lilian has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred her to weekly cognitive behavioral therapy, but the public waiting list is 8 months, and private sessions at Onitsha Wellbeing Centre cost $10 each.
Lilian has been honest with her employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Lilian could afford. The therapist recommends 24 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Lilian, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
Funds cover only therapy sessions, and I'll share progress updates (not private details) if I'm comfortable.
Where the $360 goes:
• 24 therapy sessions: $300
• Psychiatric assessment: $55
• Workbook and resources: $5

Thinking of you and your family, Joy. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings
Sending love. Hope you get there. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
