For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 498 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $240
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $75
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
Glad we found this place.

thinking of you. More neighborhoods should do this. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Dnipro
