Liberty Primary School needs a free library and reading room - Logan's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Albany are raising $3,500 for a free library and reading room at Liberty Primary School.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,500.
It will serve about 156 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,500 goes:
• Materials: $2,500
• Permits and inspections: $260
• Safety equipment and signage: $210
• Tools hire and delivery: $530
