Liberty Primary School needs a community garden - Nada's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Bellevue are raising $3,300 for a community garden at Liberty Primary School.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $830, and the remaining cost is $3,300.
It will serve about 147 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Materials: $2,300
• Permits and inspections: $140
• Safety equipment and signage: $570
• Tools hire and delivery: $290
