Let's build a youth football pitch together in São Paulo
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Union health centre yard that will serve 268 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,100.
It will serve about 268 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Materials: $770
• Permits and inspections: $90
• Safety equipment and signage: $110
• Tools hire and delivery: $130
