Let's build a youth football pitch together in Saint-Étienne
Volunteers in Saint-Étienne are raising $2,200 for a youth football pitch at Maple Park.
🇫🇷 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France575 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,200.
It will serve about 134 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Materials: $1,650
• Tools hire and delivery: $400
• Safety equipment and signage: $150
With deep gratitude,
Souleymane
