We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $2,100 for materials.

Limoges

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,100. It will serve about 387 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,100 goes: • Materials: $1,250 • Permits and inspections: $150 • Safety equipment and signage: $210 • Tools hire and delivery: $490 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Marwan
