Warangal
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer community hall, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 519 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $550 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $70 • Safety equipment and signage: $40 • Materials: $440 Thank you so much. - Ketki
