Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Tarkwa
Volunteers in Tarkwa are raising $550 for a solar-powered water pump at the Lotus vacant lot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 574 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $430
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
