Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Pune
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at Pioneer Primary School that will serve 94 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 94 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Materials: $280
• Tools hire and delivery: $30

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Keerthana.
Permits and inspections is $40 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Good question.
