Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Lagos
Volunteers in Lagos are raising $600 for a solar-powered water pump at Jacaranda Primary School.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 545 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Materials: $480
• Permits and inspections: $60
