Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Eugene

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $1,650 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,650. It will serve about 406 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,650 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $185 • Materials: $1,300 • Safety equipment and signage: $165 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Easton

hang in there, Easton. More neighborhoods should do this. My neighbor in Envigado donated after I showed her your page.
