Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Dodoma
Volunteers in Dodoma are raising $350 for a solar-powered water pump at the old Maple bus depot.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 483 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $250
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
